I use an integrative and holistic approach to therapy. Having completed advanced trainings in a number of different modalities (see below), I am able to be flexible in my work with clients. I believe that there are many different paths to healing and wholeness, and I strive to help each of my clients find their unique path. I also use a strengths-based approach in helping people overcome their challenges and realize their goals.
I offer a safe and supportive space to help clients work through whatever it is that might be causing them distress or keeping them from making the changes they’d like to make. My style is warm, relational, and engaging.
I am grateful to be doing work that I love, and I find it immensely rewarding to help people make profound, lasting changes their lives.
My professional background…
I did my undergraduate studies at Cornell University, and I received my master's degree in counseling psychology from the California Institute of Integral Studies in San Francisco, CA. Prior to becoming a therapist, I worked in education for several years.
I am very committed to my ongoing development as a therapist, and I regularly participate in advanced trainings and professional conferences. The field of psychology is always evolving, so I stay up-to-date and informed about the most recent developments, theories, and practices so I can best serve my clients.

Other interests...
In addition to studying and practicing psychology, I enjoy reading about philosophy and neuroscience, I love spending time in nature, and I maintain a daily mindfulness practice. All of these interests inform my work as a therapist.
On a more personal note, I grew up in the Hudson Valley and lived in NYC for several year before moving to the Bay Area. I love music, art, gardening, hiking, swimming, open coast kayaking, and travelling off the beaten path. I find great inspiration in art and nature.
